What is Spin a Win?

Released in 2018, Spin a Win is Playtech’s very own take on a live casino game show style Wheel of Fortune game.

The game follows the standard Wheel of Fortune format in that a live host will spin a large wheel that’s split into 53 segments separated by pins. 51 of which are numbers: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 40.

  • 1 - (Win 1x your stake) appears 23 times
  • 2 - (Win 2x your stake) appears 15 times
  • 5 - (Win 5x your stake) appears  7 times
  • 10 - (Win 10x your stake) appears 3 times
  • 20 - (Win 20x your stake) appears  2 times
  • 40 - (Win 40x your stake) appears 1 time

What about the other 2 segments? The wheel also features two multiplier segments which are 2x and 7x, if the wheel lands on either of these segments the wheel will be spun again with your previous bets remaining in place.

If the wheel lands on a x2 multiplier and is followed by a 2 and you had £1 stake on 2 you’ll receive £4 back, if the wheel was to land on an incredibly rare consecutive multiplier then your potential winnings could be huge.

The major difference between Playtech’s Spin a Win and Evolution’s Dreamcatcher is the fact that Spin a Win allows players to place side bets either on their own, or alongside betting on any of the wheel’s numbers.

The side bets allow players to bet on either even numbers, odd numbers or the multiplier segments. In total there are 21 even numbers on the wheel and 30 odd numbers on the wheel,

this why odd pays out less.

  • Odd - (Win 0.75x your stake) appears 30 times
  • Even - (Win 1.25x your stake) appears 21 times
  • Multiplier - (Win 25x your stake) appears 2 times

It should be noted that when playing on side bets multipliers do NOT apply to the payout structure, players can only benefit from multipliers if they have bet on the numbers.
