Evolution Gaming, known around the world for their unrivalled portfolio of live casino game shows such as Monopoly Live, Dreamcatcher and Lightning Roulette have this month announced the arrival of their latest live casino title, Mega Ball.

This brand new title was announced to audiences at ICE 2020 earlier this year and will expand on Evolution's already diverse selection of games by bringing a unique lottery-style 'bouncing ball game' to casinos worldwide.

How does Mega Ball work?

This game is a unique hybrid of bingo and lottery. Players buy between 1 and 200 Mega Ball tickets that are designed in the style of a 5x5 cell bingo card that have 12 potential win lines on each. Each cell on a card has a random number within it, with a free middle cell already that has already been marked off.

Once the game round begins a custom-built ball machine begins spinning 51 numbered balls, 20 of which are randomly drawn one-by-one.

All players need to do at this point is sit back, relax and watch on as their bingo cards are marked off when corresponding numbers are drawn from the machine.

As the balls are drawn your cards are automatically sorted to show which have the best chance of providing a win. Players receive payouts for getting anywhere between 1 and 6 lines.

After all 20 balls are drawn in the main game a 21st Mega Ball round will occur.  Before this special ball is drawn an RNG-based multiplier is applied which will could anything between 5x–100x. If the player creates a line with the Mega Ball number, their winnings are multiplied accordingly.

'Mega Ball creates huge prizes, drama and excitement'

Chief Product Officer at Evolution Gaming, Todd Haushalter said: “With Mega Ball we wanted to create a game that has huge prizes, drama and excitement.

"Bingo is a hugely popular game with lots of players and lotteries are loved the world over, so we decided to combine the two and also add a huge slot machine to create Mega Ball! I think players are going to love this game!”

As well as the live version of Mega Ball, Evolution is also adding to its growing portfolio of First Person games by launching a RNG variant of Mega Ball. First Person Mega Ball puts players in control of the game, allowing them to play at their own pace.
